Mary has many hobbies, but this is how she would prefer to spend her Saturday mornings.

But who is Mary...

Mary writes funny. Her books are usually wild romantic comedies with outlandish situations. She's tried to write straight romance. It just always goes awry.

She grew up in the Boston Mountains of Northwestern Arkansas where she attended the University of Arkansas, but never really found her education useful in the real world. Today, she is a home school mom and the wife of a fabulous man.

Rachel Billingsley's wedding was off. It was so off, the groom's new bride was wearing Rachel's dress to the altar. Not to worry, the new bride's brother is just the man to make it better.

Shawn Copeland has a normal life. He owns a stable business, drives a conservative car, lives life in the safe lane, and pays attention to personal hygiene. Then he meets Rachel, and all safety flies out the window. Except for cleanliness...

Excerpt from Chapter One

“Are you positive?” Fran asked Rachel over her steamy mocha latte.

“I’ve never been more positive in my life. That girl answered my ad, bought my dress, and is marrying my fiancé with my ring.”

“See, you should’ve kept it.” Fran raised one eyebrow, Spock-style. It gave Rachel a shiver. How did she do that, anyway?

“You haven’t heard the worst of it.”

“What, he sent you an invitation? Ask you who was doing the cake for your wedding, and could you get him the same great deal?” Fran sipped latte with a superior smirk.

“She’s pregnant.” Rachel tried to keep a deadpan expression while she dropped her little bombshell.

Fran spit frothy chocolate coffee back into her cup, which made Rachel feel blessed that her friend had good aim.

“No wonder he yanked back the ring and ran. He suddenly had to slip it on another finger.” As usual, it didn’t take Frannie long to recover her balance.

Rachel toyed with the idea of telling her about Shawn. What was there to tell, though? Her ex-fiancé’s new bride’s brother was a hottie that made her toes curl? That certainly indicated good breeding and class. The kind seen on the stage of the Jerry Springer Show.

That was it, she could sign up to go on the Jerry Springer Show. Why, she could make a bundle if she could get into a good food fight/wrestling match with the new bride. It would be the hit of the season.

Suddenly Rachel wondered if she just needed a Valium, and a nap. No, pharmaceuticals were never the answer. Milk chocolate, might be though.

“Rachel, you’re looking like you might fall face first onto the table. I for one don’t want any more embarrassment than I can give myself, so I suggest we go. I’ll drive you home if you need me to.”
